History
History and honours
It all started at Lullingstone Golf Club, where the more senior members of the group began playing nine holes on a Saturday morning, and before long the rest of the gang had joined them. In the spring of 2016, that Saturday habit became something more ambitious — the first tour, and with it, the Spring Invitational Trophy. The tradition that has grown up around it is a simple one: a number drawn from a hat at the start of each trip determines who organises the next, which means the leaderboard has consequences well beyond the prize table.

It all started at Lullingstone Golf Club about 15 years ago. The more senior members of the group started playing the 9 hold on a Saturday morning and before long they were joined by the rest of the gang. In the spring of 2016 we decided to go on our first golf trip and the Spring Invitational was created. Each year, as the weather turns and days get longer, we head off to a new venue and compete for the SI Trophy!
