Playing for the prize
The Spring Salver — engraved afresh each year — goes to the best combined Stableford across the two rounds.
The Overall Competition
The Spring Salver
First-timers play for the daily prizes but sit out the overall.
Team Games
The pairs
Drawn pairs play better-ball alongside the individual, so a good partner is worth a shot or two.
Side Games
Nearest the pin and longest drive run on both mornings, keeping every group honest to the last.
Nearest the Pin
Prize A sleeve of Pro V1s
One shot to settle it: on the nominated hole, the ball closest to the pin with your tee shot wins. Your ball must be on the green — off the green doesn't count, however close. If nobody finds the green, the prize rolls to the next nominated hole. Distance is measured from the flag, and the marker's word is final.
Skins
Prize The pot
Every hole is worth one skin. Win the hole outright and the skin is yours; any tie and the skin carries to the next hole, building the pot. Ties at the last carry nothing — undecided skins are shared. Most skins at the end of the round wins.
The Wooden Spoon
Prize Buys the first round next year
Last place carries the spoon home for the year — brought back next spring, engraved with the year and the sorry score.
